Keeping the server up

This is ment to be a serious thread, any off topic or flame will be deleted.

With Elmo leaving the admin group, he is taking the server down with him. He is the one who is paying for it, so that is justified that if he isn't playing, he shouldn't be paying.

My question to you all is; Do you want to keep this server up?

If so, I will make it happen. I will need a good amount of post from multiple people for this to be worth it. So if you want the server to stay up, then get your friends on the server and on the forums. to post.

Well I think you should keep the server up but you seriously need ACTIVE ADMINS WHO CAN BE BOTHERED TO PLAY. Also you guys need to teach the new people (( They're use to the fail RP servers )) instead of punishing and banning them.

Eh Don u know i love u and Holt so ya keep the server going, and i am a active player, and my Org. has about 7 people in it with 5 active members, so ya we will stick around.

I too would like to see the servers kept up, and with you incharge of everything i'm sure it will be much better organised/controlled. I'll play if you're incharge.

Eh Don there is acually quite a number of people who still wants the server, can we hold a meeting together as a community and talk about it so everyone who isn't active on the forums know about it too? and also i have 110K right now saving up a HQ, should i stop now or do u think there is a possible chance the server will be kept around?

Went in to the server today and had a relatively nice time getting mugged (well roleplayed). if the server stays up i will be joining up whenever convinient. =)

Will it be switching to a new server or just you continuing with the same one by the way?

I think don would like to establish whether theres enough people to be bothered putting a server up before he decides on his admin team.

Come back, i assure you will get some good RP.

At the moment, i mainly only role play with Azura Sarah, as she is the only one who really role plays back (and is very active).

The problem with most people on RP is that they think RPing is simply doing their jobs. Jobs are a minor part of RP. Roleplaying is developing relationships with other characters, and... well... RPing them. Simply being a 'bad guy' and rubbing a lot and shooting cops is not RP in the slightest.

I think a police officer is the job that makes a character less needy towards actual RP, as their job is always very demanding and busy.

Lol. there's like usually my Org. and Chiss and Azura on now, is Chiss saying we don't RP lol? we hold meetings in the Ebay meeting room a lot, so no one can bother us, we can't really RP right now anyways, we lost the bar so we need to get it back before we can go back to our awesome RPing. (Maybe this time cops won't raid us with no warrant and no evidence of us doing anything)

Said you don't roleplay back from what i understood. This could simply mean that you're having your meetings alot of the time and aren't outside enough to interact with.

Timezone Issues:
The Time zone issue is leading to players not wanting to hang around
till the middle of the night to see if a department head will accept
there application/request for employment.
If possible we could have non org leaders in both timezones (east and
western continents ) to facilitate players gaining employment.

E Jobs:
A few simple adjustments to the E jobs maybe in order as many of the current E jobs have little RP ability.

Hungermod and Afk kicker:
I noticed the activity of players drop shortly after the removal of hungermod
Preceding that many players had to remain active to earn there e-moneys
It was believed that death from hunger was crashing the server and
that most likely was the case, my suggestion is a combination of AFK
kicker and hungermod. Example: 0 hunger would result in kick rather
then death or loss of e-moneys.
The revival of hungermod would in turn facilitate useful E-jobs.
Delivery related jobs like Pizzaboy or Delivery Person and allow for Org leaders to add jobs
that would in turn add to the Profitability of commercial property's.
Simple adjustment like these will help to balance the economy and give New players a premise to use there e-jobs.

server or at least curtail there impact on the RPing community.

Abuse and Favoritism:
Title says it all, you know who you are and should be well aware of how
this type of activity affects the community and the economy.

I am only suggesting that such changes may improve the server activity, stabilize the economy and provide premise for RP.

Don you have done a fantastic job, you have a strong community that
supports your decisions and has experience in all areas of TSRP.
From Leet mappers to well versed plug writers and all areas in between.
I think I speak for every one of us when I say we will stand behind you
in what ever manner we are capable of and you have our full support.

Imo, should put business income / tax / hunger mod's.

Hunger Mod with a significant penalty such as;

-Player blacks out...
You passed out, but were taken to hospital and treated for malnutrition, incurring a medical fee of $2000.
-Player wakes up in MD Lobby...

With a fine of $2000, people will be more careful. It's REALLY not hard to eat.



Tax... Not really necessary, but sure, i wouldn't complain. As long as we had a legit, smart mayor to handle our taxes.


Business income already exists (i think), but because no hunger mod, no one really buys anything.

I disagree with a lot of this... Cbf going into it.

I think all death should result in reviving in the MD personally, (or alternatively just lying down dead for 10+ seconds then getting up) And if it wasnt for the hastle of DMers i'd suggest that a money penelty be added too but nothings perfect and frankly all money should be used for RP anyway so meh.

Apart from that i plan on eventually using that hobo area next to the 7/11 (or w/e its called) for new players. Roleplaying with them and helping them out both IC and OOC (ofcourse not financially, xD). Might have to wait up a bit though as i'm pretty busy this month. (i'll still have time i'm just saying i can't dedicate)

I acually taught some newb what OOC and IC was today, and even gave him a proper name

Hawk552 is going to totaly remove the death part of TSRP al together, as that is the main reason of crashes in any RP server.

It will be along the lines of waking up in the md or being incapasitated.

I like the incapacitated idea....and then the MD comes in and saves the day kind of thing.

So have you decided to keep the server going don or are you still waiting for more people to post their interests?
