Take off Painmod

Pain mod is really a pain in the ass, although it gives doctors more things to do, the rest of the players get immobilized by the smallest things. Fall 4 feet = broken legs. 1 Punch to the arm = broken bones. I really hate it. So Don, please take off pain mod. It really limits our RP potential.

All it limits is the fact that now you get to rp pain instead of getting shot in the face and running off like nothing happened.

But what do you do when a DMer kicks you in the legs, immobilizing you and starts a kill rampage because we can't shoot or fight back?

You shouldn't be fighting back in the first place it just fuels the DM'ing fire, you alert an admin.

There are cons to Painmod, personally, I think more cons than pros when it comes to Painmod.
So I vote Yes.
Although Painmod does prevent the shot+run, but the settings are too high up.
You get hit in the right arm and you can use a weapon anymore?

Still, if you accidentally fall or are pushed into the elevator shaft by an asshole and get your legs broken, it's annoying as hell. WAY to many cons, I vote yes.

Yeah. I got crushed by an elevator the other day and broke my legs. It sucked. Hard.

Look there are things that suck about it, but at the end of the day this vote doesn't matter its what Don decides. So instead of complaining about it try to acclimate yourself to it and be more careful.

You're a tool, wether you fight back or not they'll still kill you.

It's fun killing RPers, especially when they think they're all high and mighty by not fighting back.

Eh I'm not gonna get into an argument about this, I honestly want it gone too, but I'm just being optimistic instead of complaining about the situation.

At the end of the day it is up to me, but I do listen to the community.

Thats why I told ... who ever was talking to me about it on the server, to bring it to the forums, so it can be talked about by the whole community.

I will be opening a new section dedicated to ARP, to talk about the pro's and con's of it.

Remember this is a new plug-in set, and thing still are being ironed out. It has a lot of potential, so instead of just tossing it, lets think of ways to make it better.

Believe me, Hawk552 will listen, I know he wants feedback.

An off-topic question, is there a reason why the servers crash all the time?

When people suicide it's bugs out the servers and crashes ( sometimes ). It seems to be more likely if there's more people on. I believe it's an AMX bug.

I voted yes just coz it sux and it's not RPish at all. When would happen IRL that you get punched on the arms and cant hold a firegun anymore? Or when happens that you die because of a fall that takes you 2hp and makes pain: 1? It sux.

I think painmod is great, it stops those idiotic stunters, with ARP we can beat a guy down to 10hp and be sure he's dead within minutes. With ammx you can beat a guy down to 2hp and he can he dragonkick your ass the second after.....

Why would anyone even waste one second considering this.

This plugin does what proper roleplayers would do themselves, while also pissing 99% of the players (roleplayers or not) off.

90% of the people that bitch about this are the ones not willling to RP an injury, painmod forces them to do something about falling down or get beaten up. People that are RPing this allready just go to the hospital and voila they get treated, so for those who actually RP it there is no change, so it sounds to me like the people who vote against..... will not RP it if it gets taken off......

Thats because 90% of our injuries is from getting stuck in the elevator bug and falling off stairs when assholes push us.

but you have to understand, this isn't the TSRP world from 2+ years ago, these days plug-ins rule the RP. It's mainly because most of the people that play TSRP are either new or have adapted to the fact that plug-ins help RP.

So, adapt and learn to RP with them, the plug-ins don't force you to do things, you still have free will.

If the plug-ins do what proper roleplayers should be doing anyways..... whats the problem?
