BiographyBorn into a mining family on a moon, Cina's prospects were not hopeful. Both her parents and her older brothers were miners, and the same was in line for Cina. Growing up, she didn't have many friends, except for a small native life form, much like a sea urchin which she carried around with her all the time. His name was Hoxi. She cared tenderly for it and loved it.
As she grew up, she began to notice how much people were suffering and even dying from illness and injury on weekly basis due to mining, she aspired to help. Unable to get professional training, so she scoured the moon for medical books. Finally she found a family which almost had its own personal library. She claimed a good selection of medical and anatomical books from the family. She studied these books for days and weeks, aspiring to learn how to help people.
By the age of 15, she had started her own medical practice on the moon, caring for her miner folk. The rate of illness and death was slowly, but substantially dropping. Within months she was known by all on the moon, and had other young citizens aspiring to be like her. She started to train up others and put the money she earned into bettering her facility and tools.
Eventually at the age of 17 she was running an admirable medical practice with 13 members on her staff. Soon after her birthday, there was a terrible collapse in one of the mines and her whole family among hundreds of others were trapped or killed. A massive rescue and medical operation was hell for the next few months. Few survived. After the event, Cina decided she needed to get away from all this, especially now that she had no family left.
She sold her medical facility and her families house for what little money she could. It barely paid for a shuttle flight to Kridon V, where she planned to start a new life among a more civilized place, she had to settle for the cargo hold of a cargo hauling ship.
Upon arriving she took what little luggage she had and headed to TriCorp to apply for a medical position. Field Medic seemed most fitting, as that is the kind of work she did at her place of birth.
Why?I have been a doctor many times and know exactly how it works and how one should act in the position.
