| I have went ahead and made the human side of the planet's layout. All of these buildings are "fake" as in, they are just big blocks, so that I could make a layout and get an idea of how the town will be. I will be updating later with text over it, showing what I have planed for each building. The top right corner is the military base on the planet. | |

| I have already been around the map and it has a nice feel to it. It would look awesome once the custom stuff gets in there. | |

| I made the train that goes from the human colony to the natives city. It is an almost exact duplicate of the one in the opening sequence of half-life 1. It will run on an automated loop going back and forth on its own, pausing for 10-15 seconds at each stop. I will be animated the door on it too, so it opens out and then to the side at each stop. | |

| Well I have been working all day on this dam train, and it still isn't fully working. I think I have the problem figured out, but it will require a full compile to test it. (VIS-ing only). This will do 2 things though. 1 - see if the train works 2 - test the r_speeds and fps lag with this open enviroment map So, I would like some help testing this later. I have no idea how long this will take, but I will estimate about 1 hour. [edit] It was a great success. The r_speeds are fantastic, there are a couple areas where it peaks, but it peaks at a small number really. The train also works perfectly. I made the small adjustments that where needed for it to run without any wall collisions, and added in station stops. The train is automated, so no human is needed to drive it. It makes a 10 second stop at each station, then continues on its loop. When lighting is added, this should look really cool. I am considering leaving the subway tunnels open to the public, as they could be a host to some seedy activities. Who knows, a hideout or 2 might even find its way in there. A ladder will be added later too if we decide to leave it open. The server will be up all night tonight ( 1.5 hours apx from now for apx 12 hours ) with this new version on it. I would like to get as many people on it to test it for r_speeds with different computers and video cards. For info on how to do this, look in the beta testing section. This is very important due to this map being an outdoor/skybox map. | |

| Put some russian around the place, like that place with the tram you could put,
ЦИТИЗЕН ТРАНСПОРТАТИОН
or for some blatant soviet propaganda you can do
НОТ ОНЕ СТЕП БАЦКШАРДС!

| oh yea, I have lots of Russian shit to put around the town, pulled the paranoia wad out and started using it. I had to combine some others to make room, cause I hit the 8 wad limit.
Once map is complete, I will be making a custom wad for the maps, so if there is any map updates, the download is smaller.

| Updated layout. If you have suyggestions for a building's contents, list the # and then suggestion. *note not all buildings are going to be used, some will remain solid just to fill the area. | |

| Here are some early development pixs of the diner I am making. It is across the street from the goverenment building. Hopfully I can map for a few more hours tonight, but I hear thunder, so maybe not. We also have a new mapper on the team, lets hope he works out better than the last 5, lol. | |
