| (IC) The MPPD Bylaws -As of January 25th, 2009
This is the documentation of the bylaws of the MevelPort Police Department, known as M.P.P.D. These are the basic outlines and laws provided by your Commissioner Nathaniel Haines. The bylaws are provided to all citizens and personnel registered in the PD Roster. It is necessary for all people to read the bylaws to understand your rights, your responsibilities, and your charges of crime within Mevelport.
The Human Rights You as a citizen have the rights whilst supervised by the MPPD to: 1. Be endowed with equal rights to freedom and action 2. Be treated respectively by your behavior 3. Have the ability of Free speech when accounted or judged in court 4. Not become a subject of punishment due to no wrong doing 5. The recognition everywhere as a person before the law 6. An effective and fair remedy of committing crime(s) 7. Not be neglected of rights because of race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status 8. Not be held in slavery (this does not apply to be actively doing imprisonment work) 9. Not be charged of a crime due to no trial within providing evidence to the jurisdiction of your crime 10. To be active in cooperation in carrying out your judgment or crime
The PD employed rights You as an employed working member who not only apply to having and enforcing the human rights have subjection to: 1. Pursue justice in a mannerly process 2. Be involved in activities according to pursuit, crime, and trial. 3. Arresting an individual because of witnessing the crime committed by the person or from high evidence 4. To interrogate subjects and if needed, with force of metal tempering socialization, or punishment only applied to extreme conditions 5. Be acknowledged of your personal opinions to unfair rights, actions, activity of other soldiers, etc 6. The right to equal pay for equal work 7. Have reasonable limitation of work hours for rest and leisure
Crime information and bailout requirements All crimes must be subjected or closely related to the categories or crimes within these bylaws to take effect
__Committing Criminal Liability Criminal Liability may relate to knowing of a crime but failing to report it. Violations categorized in the subject are: -Complicit -Corporate liability
~Committing these crimes will result in: Short jail time
__Committing Inchoate offenses These crimes are classified mainly as the relation of attempting to commit a crime in a way that fails, but has the intent of committing the crime. Violations categorized in the subject are: -Attempt -Conspiracy -Solicitation
~Committing Inchoate offenses will result in: Short to medium jail time $300 Dollar fine
__Committing Crimes against property These crimes are subject to violating, stealing, etc of property legally own by a person, group, or business. Violations categorized in the subject are: -Arson -Blackmail -Burglary -Embezzlement -Extortion -False pretenses -Larceny -Receiving stolen property -Robbery -Theft
~Committing crimes against property will result in: Medium jail time $300-900 (depending on how serious the crime is.)
Note: if money was stolen, a person would be charged money both how serious the crime was and how much was stolen.
__Committing Crimes against people These crimes are more serious and have the ability to cause disruption of privacy and dignity, cause of injuries or deaths. This section is categorized into three parts
Lower profile crimes include: -Disturbing the peace -False imprisonment -Kidnapping
~Committing lower profile crimes against people will result in: Medium jail time $400-800 (depending on how serious the crime is.)
Median profile crimes include: -Assault -Battery -Sexual assault
~Committing median profile crimes against people will result in: Medium to high jail time $800-1200 (depending on how serious the crime is.)
Higher profile crimes include: -Murder -Manslaughter -Homicide
~Committing higher profile crimes against people will result in: High jail time $1000-2000 (This can differ by how serious the crime is and the multiple amount of incidents within the crime) Trial in consideration of death
__Committing extreme crimes These crimes are considered to be lethal, and can create scenarios that can endanger the control or future of the city. Violations categorized in the subject are: -Attempt or succession in overthrowing the government -Assassination or cause of death of a high priority officer (Includes Mayor, Head of Medical Department, and MPPD Commissioner) -Cause or in association of rioting
~Committing extreme crimes will result in: Immediate Death
__Miscellaneous Crimes Crimes that do not necessarily relate to any of the above categories but are illegal of such wrong doing that need to be classified. -Possession of gun(s) or weapons without license (Five minutes of jail and enforced to give up weapon(s)
The crime(s) can be charged at any expense between $100-$1000 depending on fairness.

// Short time in jail is 5 minutes, medium time is 10-15 minutes, and long time is 20 minutes //
In any case where a crime not listed here has been committed, it will be properly judged into one of these categories. If the crime does not apply to any of the categories, it's own charges will be made accordingly made by the highest office available of at least above Lieutenant.
License rules
All citizens are able to purchase legal and illegal licenses from the gun shop. When told by policemen, you must show a license of a weapon you may be carrying publicly or using inappropriately. If you either have no license or refuse to show any, you may be subjected to be jailed (plus carrying out charges for having "Possession of gun(s) or weapons without license".) Legal weapons only include handguns (excluding revolvers.) Illegal weapons are anything beside handguns (again excluding revolvers.) This means assault rifles, shotguns, SMGs, knifes, etc. Illegal weapons also may not be carried unless if rioting occurs and you are in opposition to the crime and using for self-defense. Please use all weapons responsibly for only using it for self-defense in a situation of life or death.

These bylaws will ensure that all citizens of Mevelport will obtain equal rights from the MPPD and make sure that all crimes are classified and charged appropriately.
This document can be modified anytime by the commissioner.
